General information

I have a bachelor degree in Psychology and Communication obtained at the University of Milan – Bicocca (2015). Thereafter I decided to deepen my physiological and cognitive understanding of the human brain attending the master’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Milan (2017). During my master I studied for 6 months at the University of Maastricht – Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience as an Erasmus student (2016). At the beginning of 2018 I helped the research team of the San Paolo Hospital (Milan) with one ongoing project related to sleep markers in bipolar and psychotic patients. Besides that, I am an occasional songwriter and guitar/ukulele player. I travel as much as I can, I read often and write poems and short report for a cultural website.

Research interests

I am a passionate and curious Early Stage Researcher, member of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action MOTION ITN. I am currently working as a Research Engineer at Twente Medical Systems International and simultaneously as an external Ph.D. at the University of Twente. My main research focus is to develop and improve measurement tools such as EEG and EMG to record the bioelectrical activity of young children.  Other than that, my peculiar academic interests are related to clinical neuroscience, sleep and consciousness.
