Young alumni summer meetup Beach & good vibes

The Summer Meet-up by the Young Alumni Network (YAN) of the UT was a hit! YAN connected a group of talented alumni from various industries & seniority to empower each other.

Before Sunset, 6 PM

The gathering took place at the cozy beachclub on Scheveningen in The Hague. We kicked off the event by introducing the current board members and outlining the event's purpose. There were no forced interactions, just a relaxed atmosphere where everyone could take their time to get to know each other. We even had some fun card games with friendly quizzes to break the ice when needed.

In the middle of the event, delicious pizza was served, which was another excellent catalyst for the good vibes. The topics then dived deeper into the diverse personal stories of living in different cities or countries and their occupations, the sharing made the connection stronger, and people could relate to one another. The sunset at that moment was like an oil painting. The sky and the sea blended in with blue, pink, purple, and gold, like the richness of the Summer Meet-up.

Before Midnight, 9 PM

As the evening progressed, the Summer Meet-up became more than just an event. It became a platform for alumni to connect, share their experiences, and empower each other. The fact that many of the attendees stayed past the scheduled end time is a testament to the value of such gatherings. It's clear that young alumni appreciate these opportunities to build communities and share connections. Getting to work and living in a new city or country is always challenging, but YAN will accompany you through them.

Please stay in contact with the Young Alumni Network, join the LinkedIn group, follow the YAN on Instagram, and tag #UTYAN to share your experience!

The next young alumni event will be the Rotterdam meetup (October 11th)
