Capturing the impact of your research Impact Case workshops

Are you proud of your work and sure you are making an impact, but find it difficult to make this explicit? Writing your own impact case could be one way to do this! An impact case is a narrative that helps to capture the impact of your past work (research project, research line, …). You can use such a case for your visibility, in grant applications, career talks, and for your personal satisfaction and pride. We are also trying to compose a BMS Impact Showcase and would be very happy to put your case there.

To help you get from an idea to a written impact case, we offer a workshop where we 1) explain what impact and an impact case entails, 2) offer examples, and 3) offer a template to construct your own impact case. A connection will also be made with the recently published BMS Position Paper on Impact.

The workshop includes time to write and takes 2,5 hours. This might seem like a lot, but time flies by once you are writing (we say this from experience, as this will be the third and fourth round of this workshop). You will walk out the door with your draft impact case in your hand!

Workshops are now planned for quartiles 1 and 2
