  • Chrissa Manoli

    Hello everyone! 👋

I'm excited to introduce myself as the newest member of the CELT team. My name is Chrissa Manoli, and I'm absolutely thrilled to join this dynamic and innovative community of educators and learning enthusiasts. 🌟

Let me share a bit about myself: I grew up in Thessaloniki, Greece, where I developed a keen interest in languages, literature, history, cultures, and learning. 🌍 After completing my Bachelor’s studies in English Language and Literature at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, I embarked on my professional journey as an English Foreign Language teacher. 📚

In 2017, I moved to Rome, Italy for an Erasmus+ internship, where I spent six months teaching English for primary and secondary education.  One of the highlights of my teaching career was working for an international summer school based in London, where I taught English to students from various national and cultural backgrounds, each with different language proficiency levels. The most rewarding aspect of the job was observing the diverse group of students come together, learn, share their cultures, and build lasting friendships.

Motivated by my desire for professional development and growth, I relocated to Enschede in 2021 to pursue a Master’s degree in Educational Science and Technology. 📚💡 My goal is to enrich my knowledge in educational practices and instructional technology. My research interests primarily revolve around cross-cultural learning, scientific reasoning, and argumentation. 🌐🔬

In my free time, I'm passionate about travelling and learning about the history and culture of different people and places. ✈️ I enjoy reading a good book, watching series, drawing ✏️, and creating social media content inspired by my recent trips. 📷

I'm absolutely delighted to be part of the team, and I'm eager to make a meaningful contribution to the development of teachers and education as a whole. I'm deeply grateful for the warm welcome I've already received, and I can't wait to dive into the exciting work that lies ahead.

    Warm regards,

    Chrissa Manoli
