On Tuesday, 23 May, the University of Twente's DesignLab and the new Contact Centre were the locations of the CES Spring-Summer Get Together. With a turnout of about 80 colleagues, the event was a success in sharing and discussing the mission and vision of CES, as well as offering an opportunity to meet CES colleagues from other teams and locations. The Get Together started with a welcome by Lieke Schreel. She highlighted the significance of such gatherings for meeting each other and working on the same goals. The program continued with a presentation that delved into the newly developed CES's mission and vision: the Why, How and What of CES, also in relation to the UT strategy Shaping 2030. Then, the next steps for implementing the Why, How and What were discussed. Lieke provided an overview that outlined the various initiatives and projects to be undertaken in the coming months, both by CES MT and all the CES departments, to translate the vision into a strategy. This plan showcased the commitment of CES to advancing its goals and ensuring its impact. At the end of the event, all colleagues went to the newly renovated Contact Centre (the new home of SAS and SI) for drinks and nibbles. It was great to see all my colleagues talking to each other on the wonderful terrace outside the Contact Center.
