L&T LAB THE LEARNING SPACE RACE - Issue no 12 | 2023

The Learning Space Race

Connecting, sharing and experimenting in education: now we can support this in another sucCES story! Over at Citadel T300, the opening of the new Learning & Teaching Lab took place on Thursday, September 7th.

Staff from all faculties and services were present to witness the grand launch of this new facility at the Citadel. Whether it’s to learn about all sorts of educational innovation, connect with other inspiring teachers or discover the next uomo universalis of Twente. With plenty of drinks and snacks, but most importantly a warm and open atmosphere: we can conclude this opening was a success.

A race without a finish

But, what’s the learning & teaching lab? In short, the lab is home to all sorts of activities and communities regarding educational innovation and digitalization of education. From hackathons to workshops, from seminars to information markets: the flexible space lends itself to many options. You can read more about it in the recent U-Today article, in which two of the project members were interviewed.

With the lab declared open, the project team hands over this space to a longer-term organization. The project team consisted of CELT, CES-IM, and LISA colleagues such as Danielle Aagten, Cas Jansen, Raisa van der Vegt, Martin Bosker, Peter Hagenaars and Robin van Emmerloot. Providing a warm transfer, Robin van Emmerloot will be the coordinator of this new lab to work on the next steps.

We’re thrilled to welcome this new offering to support everyone involved in education at our campus. If you’re interested or want to know any more, you can contact the Learning & Teaching Lab team over at LTL@utwente.nl.
