Erik van Oenen, head of department Scholarship Office & International Relations and Partnerships, will leave the UT on September 15. We would like to thank him for his contributions to the UT, and CES and SOIR in particular.
We are also delighted that we have found a very capable and enthusiastic interim head of department for SOIR in Rita de Wilde-Brink. For those who don't know her (yet), Rita has written a short introduction;
My name is Rita de Wilde-Brink and I have been working at UT with great pleasure since January 1997. After a long period at M&C (project leader student journey and project leader Open Days), I went back into the faculty in October 2020. Within TNW I am head of Student Mobility & International Relations (SMIR), where we deal with collaborations in education and research, scholarships, student mobility such as exchange and internship, community and wellbeing for (international) students and staff. We are currently building an internationalization strategy with the faculty board. This of course ties in nicely with the disciplines and work within SOIR, so this temporary combination of positions seems like a good fit. When I'm not working you can find me on the golf course, in the gym, with a book and a glass of wine, or out and about with family or friends.
