Hi colleagues,
I am Sylvia Pots-Rietman, I am 50 years old, and I live together with my husband and our two teenage daughters (aged 16 and 18) in Hengelo. Since 1 May 2024, I have been working in the BOZ/EEMCS department as a staff member for educational affairs. Previously, I worked as an educational support staff member at the Faculty of TNW, specialising in Technical Medicine. In 2023, after having worked for 20 years in healthcare and particularly in the Cardiology department at the ZGT hospitals in Hengelo and Almelo, I decided to change direction, partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, socialising with friends, and cooking, which is a passion of mine. I find the University of Twente a very pleasant employer, with lovely people to work with. I am looking forward to learning new things and meeting new people.
