Information Design - Beginner Course

SCOPE & AIMS

This course focuses on Information Design, a discipline that deals with the visual presentation of information. During the course, you work on a 'Reference Work' (that you have already created) of your choice with the aim of improving its effectiveness in terms of visual communication. Below you will find the intended learning outcomes:

Preparation 

Having a 'Reference Work' of your choice within one of the catagories listed below to work with is required to participate. This work needs to be uploaded to the dedicated Canvas environment before the first session. If you are not sure if your selected work qualifies, you can reach out to the course organizer.

    Mini  lectures & exercises, participant pitches, plenary discussions.

  • Teaching staff

    This course is facilitated by the University Library with the help of researchers. Members of the teaching staff have (professionial) experience with graphic design and/or have attended education in design and art. Additionally, they have extensive experience with academic research.
