RESULT

The central theme of this course is an introduction to designing education as defined in UTQ Competence 1. After this course you will be able to start designing a course in a systematic, considering all relevant aspects of educational design, leading to an effective, efficient and activating student learning design.

CONTENT

The focus of this course is on the design process which includes analysis of context, learning outcomes, initial situation, constructive alignment, and using activating, efficient and effective teaching and learning methods.

ORGANISATION

Preparation: self-study on Canvas. In-course discussions on self-study and the week's assignment.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

The University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) is a compulsory teaching qualification for lecturers, assistant, associate and full professors. PhD students cannot enrol directly on a UTQ course. PhD students will only be accepted for the UTQ in exceptional cases where the PhD student already has considerable teaching experience.
