Exhibition | The many creative faces of the UT Kim Hovestad

New series exhibitions

In academic year 2024-2025, we will highlight the creative talent within the UT community. Our university is bursting with creativity and many of our students and staff are actively involved in art alongside their studies or work. We are kicking off with a new series: The Many Creative Faces of UT. This exhibition is dedicated to the talent within our own community.

We are delighted to announce that our colleague Kim Hovestad, business illustrator and communications consultant at UT, is kicking off the event. Kim creates enchanting watercolours that she then manipulates digitally, resulting in a unique fusion of traditional and modern techniques. Nature, and especially animals and freedom, are a recurring theme in her work. From 5 September, you can admire Kim's beautiful artworks in the Small exhibition space. Don't miss it!

"I painted a collection centred on animals, framed by backgrounds with a magical aura. My works are a fusion of watercolour techniques and digital drawing. With these illustrations, I strive to express freedom, purity and softness. The animals in my art are considered power animals by some, while others recognise in them themes of freedom, nature and an escape from everyday reality."

Kim Hovestad

Vrijhof Culture invites the viewer to enter Kim Hovestad's world, where the boundaries between reality and fantasy are blurred.
