We are happy to announce the availability of the interactive geospatial computing platform designed to serve research, education, and capacity development needs. ITC staff and students can now access data analysis and visualization tools, including distributed and GPU-accelerated capabilities, directly from their home or office computer.
The platform has been developed by the Center of Expertise in Big Geodata Science (CRIB) (https://itc.nl/big-geodata) and provides each user a private working environment with replicated data storage and ready-to-use scientific and geospatial software. The platform also allows shared workspaces for projects and features managed cluster computing frameworks for big data computing needs. Additional services, including database and map servers, and code and data repositories are provided as well.
You can access the platform by following the login link available at https://crib.utwente.nl and entering your UT credentials. No registration is required. The platform is also open to (non-ITC) staff and students at the University of Twente for self-learning and exploratory research purposes.
Training workshops on how to use the platform and leverage its capabilities will be organized soon. For more information please contact to CRIB (dr.ing. Serkan Girgin MSc, s.girgin@utwente.nl).
