We’d like to welcome you to a new UT initiative: the Digital Competence Center! The DCC functions as the node for expertise on Open Science -in particular FAIR data and Open Access-, digitalization of science, and research ICT-facilities. As a partner, the DCC wants to support UT researchers and connect them with expertise and services elsewhere, inside and outside our university. The DCC works closely with researchers on optimal solutions with the focus on innovation.
To promote the support that is offered to researchers by the DCC, several themes will be highlighted throughout the year. Via news messages, our Twitter account (@utwentedcc) and via monthly thematic sessions. On April 19th, from 15:30 to 16:30 hours, the first thematic session will be hosted by the UT-DCC, and this month’s theme is:
Introduction to Cloud Computing – CRIB and VRE
For this session, we have organized two interesting talks for you. As first, we have invited Serkan Girgin to give a presentation about ITC’s cloud computing platform CRIB. Secondly, Ralph Mettinkhof and Hendri Hondorp from LISA will present the new Virtual Research Environment (VRE) that was developed recently. So, are you interested in learning more on the benefits of moving your research to the cloud and how to do that? Registration closed.
After this session, we hope to have gained your interest in our DCC and maybe even in joining our DCC community. We are glad to hear from you if you are interested, enthusiastic or if you have feedback for us! Contact us via: dcc@utwente.nl
See you on April 19th?
