Shaping the future with JIC Digital Lifecycle Management
The Joint Innovation Centre (JIC) for Digital Lifecycle Management (DLM) is a collaboration led by the University of Twente and TNO, working closely with public and private partners. This initiative focuses on driving digital innovations to tackle societal challenges such as affordable housing, sustainable infrastructure, and efficient high-tech systems. Twente serves as a Living Lab, where innovative solutions are developed, tested, and applied to deliver real-world impact.
What is JIC Digital Lifecycle Management?
The JIC DLM, founded by the University of Twente and TNO, is a platform where expertise, technology, and collaboration come together to enhance the digital lifecycle of assets and systems. It focuses on three critical domains:
- Industrialisation of housing: Accelerating construction processes through digitalisation and innovation.
- Asset management and renovation of civil infrastructure: Innovating to ensure the sustainability and longevity of vital infrastructure.
- Intelligent diagnostics for high-tech systems: Advancing data-driven technologies to improve maintenance and optimisation.
By collectively addressing these areas, the JIC DLM aims to develop practical solutions that promote economic and social progress.
