Study association Proto

We encourage you to lead an active student life, by becoming a member of the study association.

S.A. Proto is the study association for students from the Bachelor’s in Creative Technology and the Master’s in Interaction Technology at the University of Twente. You can count on its support in different ways!

Its primary goal is to offer students educational support, for example by supplying information about the programme and organising study nights, but also by allowing students to give feedback about the study programme. As a member, you can also benefit from a discount on study books and free coffee and tea are available in our association room.

Activities and events

Next to this, Proto offers you great ways to discover your career opportunities. For instance, activities with companies so that you can get a better feel of your career prospects. Think, for example, of lunch lectures, workshops and activities in more informal settings.

And of course, joining Proto is a lot of fun! Almost every week, multiple activities are organised, ranging from game nights to sports activities and even weekend trips. They are organised by Proto members, through one of 35 committees. Currently, Proto consists of circa 950 members and all are held together by a full-time student board! Joining the association can be a great way to socialise and meet students from different years. And a membership only costs €10 a year!

Our students regularly organise exciting activities and events on campus and in the nearby city of Enschede. They learn to collaborate with students and professionals from other disciplines and from different backgrounds. These experiences are invaluable in helping students develop useful skills that will serve them well in their future careers.
