Completing the Master’s in Psychology with a specialisation in Health Psychology & Technology will open up excellent job opportunities. You can look forward to a career as a policymaker, adviser, intervention designer or researcher, to name a few of your options. You could also continue with a PhD, or even start up your own business.
Type of degree
When you have completed this Master's with the specialisation in Health Psychology & Technology, you will receive a Master’s degree in Psychology along with the title Master of Science (MSc.). Your specialisation will be mentioned specifically on your diploma supplement, highlighting your specialised knowledge and skills in health psychology and technology.
Job opportunities
As a graduate of this specialisation, there are numerous options open to you. As the importance of public health initiatives continues to grow, your ability to link psychology and healthcare is invaluable. You can play a coordinating and initiating role in purchasing, (re)designing, implementing, and evaluating health-promoting interventions for the public, patients and caregivers.
You will be able to work as a researcher, a policy officer or a coordinator for Health Psychology interventions at numerous health promotion institutes, such as the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM in Dutch), the Netherlands Institute for Sport and Physical Activity (NISB). Moreover, many other types of organisations are eager for professionals with your expertise, including hospitals or healthcare facilities, patient federations, GGD’s (Community Health Services), research institutes, or (eHealth) companies. You could also work as a teacher in higher education, as some of our graduates did.
