To ensure that the rubbish trucks empty the five million mini-containers annually as efficiently as possible, perfect route planning is needed. To this end, Twente Milieu engaged a research team from the University of Twente. A fruitful collaboration, which yielded even better collection routes through practical research, data and algorithms.
