Media-prize for Wilfred van der Wiel

As has become a tradition, the UT in the Media-prizes are being presented at the New Year’s Meeting. It’s an award for researchers who have made an impact in the media with their work. Sabine Siesling (1^st), Wilfred van der Wiel (2^nd) and Hans Hilgenkamp (3^rd) picked up the staff awards for their achievements.

Wilfred was awarded because of the media attention for the "Darwin on a Chip" research as well as the "NanoGap" research for early detection of bladder and kidney cancer (ERC proof of concept grant) in the Nano Electronics group.
