Kick-In Barbecue Creative Technology Festive welcome

The Kick-in activities are in full swing. On the first day of the study-related programme, a festive barbecue was organised for all new first-year students of Creative Technology. This year, for the first time, we also welcomed students from Creative Technology who will start at the VU.

Alma Schaafstal, Programme Director of Creative Technology, welcomed all students to Twente and reflected on the presence of the VU Create students. In her own words: 'It is great to have you here for the first time!' Three years of hard work by many people and all this time a location in Amsterdam felt like a good idea. It was therefore extra special to see all the students together. Alma wished everyone a very happy and beautiful time in the years to come. Amidst loud applause, a toast was raised together!

VU CreaTe Students

The photo shows two VU students Marit and Floor (living in Haarlem and Utrecht) who were also present at the Kick-In. Both are looking forward to starting. They immediately felt a warm welcome at UT during the Kick-In. They had their eye on the Creative Technology programme for some time but hesitated because of the distance to Twente. So the VU Create course in Amsterdam was definitely a match!

The official opening of Create&VU will take place at a later date.

As a festive treat, there was a real CreatTe ice cream stand, which everyone eagerly took advantage of.

The study-related programme of the Kick-In, from 28 August to 30 August is organised by the  Study Association Proto Kick-In Committee.
