Reliable low-latency networking: many radios, many paths
Problem Statement:
Including multiple radios on a single device allows it to send information over many different paths, also at the same time. This brings the great advantage of adding redundancy to the communication (increasing reliability) and to choose the shortest path (reducing latency) but at the cost of higher energy consumption and networking overhead.
Tasks:
The goal is to determine the trade-off between different communication technologies for a multi-radio networking approach. The student(s) will work either with actual devices or with a networking simulator environment .
Work:
10% Theory, 70% Experiments or Simulations, 20% Writing
