A study on public awareness of lake water quality during summers

Our scientific staff prof. dr. Lisette N. de Senerpont Domis recently published an interesting article on the public awareness of toxic cyanobacterial blooms on water bodies during summers, in the journal Water Research, Volume 249.

The paper analyzes online search trends to study the increasing public awareness on toxic cyanobacterial blooms during summers. The authors identified a clear correlation between the hot summers, the incidence of cyanobacterial blooms and the public awareness of toxic cyanobacterial blooms.
