6G Future Network Services project is conditionally funded by the National Growth Fund

The 6G Future Network Services (FNS) Project, supported by the Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK), is selected to be funded in third round of the Dutch National Growth Fund. A core consortium has 60 partners including leading telecom and semiconductor manufacturers, mobile operators, ICT companies, knowledge institutions and governments. The National Growth Fund invests a maximum of € 203 million in this project for a period of six years. The fund consists of a conditional award of €61 million and a reserve of €142 million.

The focus of FNS project is on intelligent radio components and antennas, intelligent networks and leading applications in socially important sectors. It is led by TNO and the University of Twente is represented by the RS and ICD groups (PL1 Intelligent Components) as well as the CAES, DACS, and PS groups (PL2 Intelligent Networks). Congratulations to André Kokkeler (RS, PL1) and Suzan Bayhan (DACS, PL2) who have coordinated the UT’s efforts in this proposal.
