Arnoud den Boer wins Gijs de Leve prize 2012-2014

At the annual congress of the LNMB, the Dutch Network on the Mathematics of Operations Research, Arnoud den Boer has been awarded the prestigious Gijs de Leve prize for best PhD thesis in operations research defended in the last three years.

His thesis “Dynamic pricing and learning” was written at the CWI (Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica) under supervision of Bert Zwart and Rob van der Mei. The jury report lauded the thesis for being extremely well written, and praised the high scientific quality of the work, which is reflected in the fact that it has led to publications in the top journals in the field. Arnoud is currently assistant professor at the Stochastic Operations Research department of the University of Twente.
