ARCOM conference 2023 Leeds CME had outstanding results!

Price winning papers at the ARCOM Conference in Leeds

In the beginning of September eleven UT delegates travelled by train to represent our Construction Management & Engineering related IPD and MD group in the 39th ARCOM Conference in Leeds (UK).

Our colleagues Ruth Sloot, Zahra Sadrian, Angie Ruiz Robles, Li Jiang, Marc van den Berg, Tom Coenen, Andreas Hartmann, Léon olde Scholtenhuis, accompanied by former CME graduates Yifei Yin (currently PhD student at BMS), Rob Raijmakers (currently advising municipalities on Energy Transition strategies) and Mirko Pap (currently trainee at Dura Vermeer), presented papers about studies of technological innovation, road pavement, circularity, and organisational learning.

All papers were received very well during the conference’s parallel tracks. Two of our contributions were even awarded as the best paper price (top 5%). Mirko Pap, Lynn Vosman and Leentje Volker won the Paul Townsend Commemorative Award for best project management paper; and Wilco Jonker, Léon olde Scholtenhuis and André Dorée won the Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB) Best International Paper Award).

Léon olde Scholtenhuis was re-elected ARCOM Committee Member. He will further strengthen the ties between European and other international ARCOM network members. And last but not least: ‘The Twente Trio’ won the prize for ‘best-collaborating team’ during the pre-conference ARCOM Park Run.

CEM looks forward to participating in the 40th ARCOM Conference in London (Sept 2024).
