Overarching Goals of the Sustainability Dialogue
- to discuss how we as UT contribute to "the development of a fair, sustainable and digital society between now and 2030" (from Shaping 2030)
- to ensure we honour the imperative for change and action on climate and sustainability coming from invested UT community members (bottom-up, grass-roots)
Research, Partnerships & Divestment
The second in-depth dialogue aims to bring together students, staff, experts, and invested community members to discuss how the science and research the UT conducts contributes to sustainability and the climate crisis.
The dialogue will provide a platform for participants to share their experiences, ideas, best practices and questions related to sustainability and climate research, its partnerships and how we can divest from fossil fuels. We will discuss topics such as:
- inquiring into the sustainability of research and technologies conducted & engineered by the UT,
- the sustainability/climate research we conduct already and where this can be developed further,
- the diversification of the bodies of knowledge we employ to understand sustainability and climate change,
- researching the (un)sustainability of corporate and public bodies (especially where the UT has relations with such organisations)
- how to make the UT a leading force in climate-related system transition research.
We warmly welcome you to join this Sustainability Dialogue session on Tuesday 25th April, from 15:45-17:45 at DesignLab: IDEATE and share your thoughts with us.
