Interaction Technology is a diverse study consisting of six pillars that shape the multidisciplinarity of the Master study. By focusing on Technology, Humans and Context, Research, Design, Storytelling, and Entrepreneurship, students can develop their own professional identity. Some students choose to focus on the computer science elements in the Technology pillar, whereas others aim for the Design and Storytelling courses. There are many possibilities!
Read more about customising your programme To allow students more flexibility in filling in all the pillars and - simultaneously - to specialize in the knowledge domain of their choice, we offer the following possibilities:
- Capita Selecta Interaction Technology (5EC): This can enable the student to deepen their knowledge in a topic of choice. The student is responsible for finding a supervisor and preparing a proposal with clear goals for this course, which the supervisor should agree with before the start of the course.
- Internship (max. 5EC per pillar, max. two pillars): The assignment of EC points is done after consultation with the programme mentor and a supervisor. The decision to which pillar the ECs will be assigned will depend upon the focus and content of an internship. The requirement is that a student dedicates a substantial part of the internship (and thus report) to the chosen pillar(s) and spends an adequate number of hours on the topic of that pillar. An agreement needs to be made with a supervisor who will grade that part of a report before the internship starts.
- Final Project (max. 5EC per pillar, max. two pillars): Students can assign max. 10EC out of the total 30EC that are received for the final project to max. two pillars. The assignment of EC points needs to be approved by the programme mentor in consultation with the supervisor of the Final Project.
APPROVING THE COURSE PROGRAMME
A choice of courses becomes a course programme once the Course Form (see "Important Documents") has been filled in, approved, and signed by the programme mentor. They have the authority to refuse the choice of courses even if the choice of units is within the limitations of the requirements listed. In some cases, the admissions board may issue a certificate of admission with additional requirements. You can contact the programme coordinator for advice on your course programme beforehand.
