Well-being Weeks in the University Library

Did you participate in UT's Well-being Weeks from June 3 to June 21? This event, themed "Stand-Up," aimed to encourage students and staff to minimize their sitting time daily. In the Library, students were offered a range of activities to motivate them to stand up and to support their general well-being.

At the Library entrance, an art corner was set up where students could doodle on a giant blackboard or engage in origami at a standing table. Thanks to the Sports Centre, the Library was also able to lend out some sports equipment, allowing students to be active outdoors during study breaks. The volleyball and badminton set were particularly popular!

Additionally, the Library promoted its ergonomic study equipment on Instagram, highlighting options for standing whilst studying, such as standing desks and laptop stands.

One highlight was the community lunch and afternoon snacks provided together with the Student Union. Healthy sandwiches, fruit, and flavored water were available in the coffee corner, encouraging students to stand and enjoy lunch together. There was also a community break with healthy snacks to energize students and provide a chance to stretch.

During the well-being weeks, Library staff prepared fresh tea and flavored water to keep students hydrated. A collection of well-being books was also on display, offering resources for students interested in enhancing their overall well-being.
