Photonic chips, also known as Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC), harnesses the power of light to create energy-efficient, faster, and more accurate microchips. These enable new applications, such as LiDAR, innovative networking solutions and all kinds of sensing solutions for agrifood, maintenance and medical challenges. PIC Summit Europe 2024, taking place 15-16 October in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, attracts the leading lights from across the photonic chip industry, which makes the event one of the most influential events in the industry.

WEDNESDAY 16 OCTOBER: Future of Integrated PHOTONICS SIDE EVENT
At PIC Summit Europe, the Eindhoven Hendrik Casimir institute (EHCI) and MESA+, are organizing a dedicated session called the Future of Integrated Photonics.
This event is a dedicated session during PIC Summit Europe 2024 highlighting recent results from research and industrial labs for the use of photonics and photonic integrated circuits. In this year’s edition we focus on two new applications fields for integrated photonics: health and spintronics.
During two exciting sessions featuring leading scientists from industry and academia will present their recent results. With keynote speakers, Prof. Sonia Garcia Blanco (University of Twente) and Dr. Mark Gubbins (Seagate Technology) and additional leading speakers it promises to be an exciting event.
