As part of the 'The Future of Our Energy Supply' seminar, Stefan Nykamp succesfully defended his PhD thesis called 'Integrating Renewables in Distribution Grids'.
His research reached both the Dutch and the German local and national media, reporting on the need of batteries to both protect the energy grid from and preserve the excess energy produced by wind and solar energy production.
