Employees of the University of Twente who chose a V&D gift card as an option for their UT Christmas gift will be offered a new voucher. Due to the insolvency of V&D it is no longer possible to spend the gift cards. After it became clear that the Department store V&D requested an extension of payment, the UT removed the V&D gift card from the webshop.
Meanwhile, the Executive Board of the UT has decided to offer a new voucher to the employees with an unspent V&D gift card. This involves approximately 480 employees. They will soon receive a personal message about when and where to return their V&D gift card in order to receive a new UT voucher of Ter Brugge. The compensation does not apply employees who already spend their card partially.
