Information about elections of the various participation bodies at the UT and the UT Electoral Committee.

This election page provides current information about upcoming or recently held elections for both the University Council and the decentralised bodies in the faculties and services.

The election time schedule 

The central election committee organises the elections (see members at the bottom of this page).

Below, you will find the election schedule with important dates, such as the polling date, the nomination day, the election week and the determination of the results.

If elections take place, the information below will be updated. Additional information can be found further on the body's website.

Schedule of elections

The staff section in the bodies is elected every two years. The students, on the other hand, are elected every year.

  • University council

    Elections 2024:

    For the student section of the university council, there are 30 eligible candidates. For the staff section of the university council, there are 11 eligible candidates.

  • Faculty council BMS

    Elections 2024:

    For Faculty Council elections, staff section, 10 candidates have stood for election. For the student section of the faculty council, there are 8 candidates. Click on the link to view the candidates.

  • Faculty council EEMCS

    Elections 2024:

    For the Faculty Council elections, there are eight eligible candidates in the staff section. Since the number of candidates exactly matches the number of seats available, there will be no elections for the staff section in June and the respective candidates are automatically elected. For the student section of the Faculty Council, there are 12 candidates participating in the June elections.

  • Faculty council ET

    Elections 2024:

    There are 8 eligible candidates for the Faculty Council elections, staff section, and there are also 8 eligible candidates for the Faculty Council student section. Click on the link for information on all candidates.

  • Faculty council S&T

    Elections 2024:

    This year there are elections for the student section only. Click on the link for information about the candidates. You can find more relevant information about this on the Faculty Council website.

  • Faculty counciI TC

    Different schedule, elections held annually in December.

  • Service councils

    Elections 2024:

    No elections will be held for the service councils of Strategic Business Development, Marketing & Communications, LISA, CES, CFM and FIN/HR/SP. The candidates who stood for election will all be eligible for seats on the new councils, which will start on 1 September 2024.
