The sensor data platform (SDP) is a service that offers research projects and/or support services the opportunity to quickly and easily store sensor data in a database environment. In addition, it is possible to have this data processed and, if desired, made available to other research projects or services (UT-internal). The SDP runs entirely on-premise in the UT data centers.
Specifications
- It is possible to link all kinds of sensors (also outside the UT campus) to SDP;
- The raw sensor data from the sensor is stored in a Postgres database (raw dataset) via an input adapter;
- One can access the raw data to export it (export function);
- One or more processing modules can be linked to each raw dataset to process the raw data into processed data;
- The processed data is stored in a separate Postgres database;
- The creation of a processing module is LISA customised support and is settled on the basis of hourly remuneration (subsequent calculation);
- The database environments are backed up;
- It is possible to share datasets with other UT researchers.
Request
If you are interested in the SDP and would like more information about the possibilities, please contact Jeroen van Ingen. You can apply for an intake if you are registered as a UT employee.
Cost
No costs are charged for linking and storing raw sensor data. If one wants to use a processing module(s) and the storage of processed data, this is tailor-made and charging takes place.
Support
For questions and malfunctions, please contact the ICT Service Desk or Jeroen van Ingen.
