Join us for the collaboration initiative between Radboudumc and the University of Twente! Both institutions are excited to strengthen their partnership in research, education and innovation. By leveraging our long-standing collaboration and ongoing projects, we are taking the next step to deepen and broaden our cooperation.
To facilitate knowledge exchange and foster connections, we are pleased to announce our upcoming Joint Matchmaking Event on 6 November. This event is mainly organised to learn more about the initiative and focuses on meeting and connecting. Pitches will take place and advanced healthcare facilities will be presented, giving participants a first impression of the expertise and resources of both institutions.
The event is open to all employees of Radboudumc and the University of Twente in the medical field. This event aims to initiate meaningful discussions on possible collaborations. Whether you are interested in pitching your project to find partners for calls or simply want to explore partnership opportunities or be informed about the institutions, there is something for everyone at the Matchmaking Event.

Pitches
To promote knowledge exchange and encourage connections, participants will pitch about their work and ambitions (research or teaching) within the University of Twente and Radboudumc community to share and connect with each other.
The submission of abstracts is now open. We invite contributors in the field of healthcare education and research to submit an abstract for 5-minute presentations. Based on the number of abstracts submitted and (preferably) an equal distribution between the two institutions, planning and parallel sessions on different topics will be organised. In case of too many applications for the available time slots, a selection will be made.
General criteria
- The call for pitches is intended for all employees (research and teaching) of the University of Twente and Radboudumc who are active in healthcare. In addition, master's students carrying out their master's project within a research group may also submit an abstract.
- You may provide only one pitch as a presenting author.
- In case of a large number of applications, pitches will be selected on both scientific quality, comprehensibility for the wider community and complementarity.
Guidelines
- All pitches should be presented to a wide audience, not experts in your field.
- All pitches must be in English.
- Each pitch lasts a maximum of 1 minute (if the pitch lasts longer, the moderator will intervene and request immediate completion) There will be no Q&A session after each pitch. If there is a question, please approach the speaker at the dinner or event and make contact.
- You cannot use supporting resources such as PowerPoint.
