Samir Kumar Biswas joined BMPI

BMPI welcomes a new postdoctoral researcher: Samir Kumar Biswas.

Samir is originally from India where he obtained his master degree in physics from the Indian Institute of Technology in 2006. He obtained his doctorate degree from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore in 2011. Samir is specialized in the field of lasers and diagnostics and in his PhD project he developed algorithms and automated instruments for 3D real time optical imaging.

In BMPI, Samir will be involved in the Indo-Dutch project on photoacoustic imaging of finger joints for diagnosis and disease monitoring of rheumatoid arthritis.
