December 10th, 2012 - BMPI welcomes two new master students: Guus van Raaphorst and Berkan Basel. Both are students Biomedical Engineering at the University of Twente. Their assignment in BMPI is the last hurdle before obtaining their degree of MSc. Although they will work in the same group, the assignments of the two students are completely different.

Last month Guus van Raaphorst (Biomedical Engineering) started his graduation assignment in a joined project of the Signals and Systems (SAS) group and BMPI. He is going to investigate the use of higher harmonics in the photoacoustic signal to optimize the resolution of photoacousic imaging.
For more information about this project, please contact Wenfeng Xia (W.xia@utwente.nl).

In the beginning of December Berkan Basel joined the group to study the combination of optical speckle flowmetry with ultrasound as an attempt to obtain a full 3D perfusion map of the skin. For more information about this project, please contact Ivo Vellekoop (I.vellekoop@utwente.nl).

BMPI wishes Guus and Berkan good luck with their assignment in BMPI.
