Emma van Dullemen (B-GZW)

Dear Reader,

My name is Emma van Dullemen, I am 21 years old and a third year Health Sciences student. With this letter I would like to express my interest and enthusiasm to become a member of the Faculty Council Science and Technology. Since the beginning of my studies, I have been interested in our university's educational system and passionate about contributing to the continuous improvement of the Health Science program. With this I believe that my experiences and skills make me an ideal candidate for the Faculty Council.
For the past three years, I have been an active member of the Health Sciences Programme Committee, where I was the chairwoman for two years. This role has given me valuable insights into procedures regarding to education within the program. In addition, during my first year at the University of Twente, I also became a member of the program evaluation committee. My job was to evaluate each module with students, write a report and discuss it with the teachers. This position allowed me to ensure that our program meet the highest quality standards and that the voices of both students and teachers within the program are heard. As a student assistant and tutor within the program, I have developed strong communication and mentoring skills to other students and teachers.
In addition to the university committee experiences, I am also actively involved into a student association. Here, I participate in various committees and activities.
Enthusiastic, driven and accurate are words that describe me. By working in a structured way, I add value and aim for the best result. I am able to work independently as well as in a team. I like to work hard and dare to ask critical questions. In case of setbacks I put my shoulders to the wheel to pick things up without losing quality.
I am eager to bring my experiences and skills to the Faculty Council and I am confident that my dedication, experience and proactive approach will have a positive impact on the Council.

Kind regards,

Emma van Dullemen
