“We report on the enhancement of turbulent convective heat transport due to vapour-bubble nucleation at the bottom plate of a cylindrical Rayleigh–Bénard sample (…) filled with liquid. Microcavities acted as nucleation sites, allowing for well-controlled bubble nucleation.”
